Why did you change your name?
Our former name was identified as a limiting factor for those looking to join the credit union. Our new name is intended to be welcoming of our community and more inclusive of the geographic area we serve and will allow us to grow while still reflecting who we are and our commitment to serving the greater community. It also expresses the aspirations we have for our members’ financial well-being and reflects the level of service we offer to our members.
Is the name change a result of a merger or acquisition?
NO. The name change was not related to a merger, and we have not been acquired by another institution. It simply reflects who we are today and better positions us to be better able to serve our greater community.
What will change with the new name?
Your relationship with us and your day-to-day banking will not change. Beginning in March 2025, you will see changes to our website, building signage, branch design, stationery, brochures, etc. Some systems and plastic cards will transition through mid-2025. Current information can be found on this page.
Is Peake Federal maintaining its affiliation with Baltimore County Government?

YES! We are proud of our history of serving Baltimore County Government and we are steadfast in our commitment, relationship, and partnership with Baltimore County Government. We believe that by changing our name and rebranding the credit union, we will create a more welcoming identity for everyone in our community. It will also allow us to become a stronger financial institution to serve our members, and our community, better.

Will ownership of the credit union remain the same?

YES! You, our members, will continue to own the credit union.

Have the credit union’s services changed?

No. Our core services will remain the same. You can continue to expect the same high-quality service, products, and support you’ve always received from us. Our new name allows us to better serve our community, and you can expect that we’ll add services that will make your experience even better.

No. Your accounts and members are unchanged. You can continue to access your accounts and enjoy the same benefits without interruption. New debit and credit cards will be issued with our new name over time, but you won’t need to take any action.

Once available, Peake debit cards will be sent when your card expires, as replacements for those lost or stolen, and to new cardholders. There is nothing that you will need to do!

No. You’ll continue to see the same friendly faces ready to assist you.

Will branch hours of operation change?
